DOLL UP SISTER – ELLOU – Earrings with 18k Yellow Gold Plating and Brown Glass Stone
Ellou – Earrings with Glass Stone and 750 Gold Overlay by Doll Up Sister
Oval-shaped earrings with a finely polished brown glass stone. The elegant transparency of the stone is framed by a delicate, understated setting with a warm 750 yellow gold overlay, giving the earrings a calm, refined appearance.
The combination of soft colour and precise form makes these earrings versatile enough for both everyday wear and special occasions. A piece of jewellery for those who appreciate clean shapes, subtle vintage references, and precise design.
The glass stones are made by a small, traditional family-run manufacturer in Germany that continues a Bohemian glass and Jewelry-making tradition to this day. The manufacturer’s glassmaking history dates back to 1897; some of the press tools used have been in service for generations.
The metal elements are made of jewellery brass and come from a small German manufacturer known for its long-standing craftsmanship and precise finishing of each individual component.
The 18-carat (750) gold plating is applied at 10 milliemes over a palladium layer by a specialised electroplating company in Pforzheim, Germany.

Manufacturing Details:
Historical Glass Jewelry Stones
The historical glass jewellery stones come from a small, tradition-rich family manufactory in Germany that continues a Bohemian glass and Jewelry-making tradition to this day. The manufactory’s glass working heritage dates back to 1897. The stones are still produced using inherited press tools, some of which have been used for generations. Many of these tools were originally engraved by hand—particularly ornamental and floral relief patterns that give the glass stones their characteristic depth and distinctive visual language.
This evolved craft tradition, with its inherited tools and techniques, has become something truly special today. We are therefore especially grateful to work with a manufactory that continues to preserve this traditional form of glassmaking to this day.
High-Quality 18k Gold Plating (Doublé)
This piece of jewellery is finished with a gold plating of 10 milliemes in 18-carat gold (75% fine gold). This represents a high-quality gold plating and is referred to in the jewellery trade as Doublé.
The finishing is carried out by a specialised electroplating company in Pforzheim, Germany, with whom we have worked closely for many years. First, a fine palladium layer is applied as a high-quality intermediate finish, followed by the gold plating. This creates an even, durable surface.
Compared with standard gold plating, this finish is distinguished by its higher gold content, high durability and warm, deep colour.
Base Alloys and Responsible Manufacturing
For this piece, components are sourced from a long-standing partner company in Germany. They are characterized by dimensional stability and precise workmanship.
The materials used are tested for harmful substances, including according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard. This standard stands for strictly controlled limits and independent testing procedures.
