This piece of jewellery is finished with a 5 µm-thick layer of 18-carat gold (75% fine gold). With this layer thickness, the gold plating represents a high-quality finish and is referred to in the jewellery sector as Doublé.
The finishing is carried out by a specialised electroplating company in Pforzheim, with whom we have worked closely and with great trust for many years. First, a palladium layer is applied as a protective and barrier layer, followed by the gold plating. This creates an even, durable surface.
