This piece of jewellery is finished with a 10 milliemes gold plating in 18-carat gold (75% fine gold). This represents a high-quality gold plating and is referred to in the jewellery sector as Doublé.
The finishing is carried out by a specialised electroplating company in Pforzheim, with whom we have worked closely and with great trust for many years. First, a palladium layer is applied as a protective and barrier layer, followed by the gold plating. This creates an even, durable surface.
Compared with simple gold plating, this finish is distinguished by the greater amount of gold applied, high durability and a warm, deep colour.
German-made resin and polymer materials
The resin and polymer materials used for AMALA are sourced exclusively from German production. Depending on the piece of jewellery, the elements are either made in the AMALA atelier itself or produced for AMALA by small, specialised manufacturers in Germany.
Production in Germany enables short supply routes, traceable origins and close coordination of material, workmanship and surface quality. The individual materials and components are specifically selected for their intended use in the jewellery and carefully processed.
The resin and polymer materials used are free from plasticisers that are harmful to health. Their manufacture and processing are subject to the legal requirements applicable in Germany regarding environmental, production and recycling processes.
