The distinctive signature of the earring collection

In 2009, Sophia Kirsch-Wahl launched DOLL UP SISTER, a jewellery line that unites vintage charm with contemporary spirit.
At its heart are artfully crafted earrings made with elements that were created using original steel press moulds dating from 1880 to 1960, inspired by the Victorian era and Art Nouveau. Each pair tells its own story, a homage to the past, reinterpreted for today’s jewellery lovers.

These finely embossed brass components are combined with precious gemstones, antique Bohemian glass and lovingly modelled figurative elements. The modelled figures are first shaped in wax and then cast in jewellery brass or coloured resin, a further characteristic feature of the collection.

Both stud earrings and drop earrings gain their distinctive radiance from galvanically refined surfaces finished with genuine 18-karat yellow or rose gold, or a soft black-grey rhodium layer.

From Vintage to Kawaii

„Kawaii“, translated from Japanese, means „cute, sweet, lovable“. As an aesthetic concept it stands for playfulness, innocence and lightness, qualities that are interpreted in a contemporary and artistically refined way in the earring designs of DOLL UP SISTER.

The nostalgic character of the collection merges with this playful influence, forming a unique style full of charm and subtle humour.
The iconic Maiko Mouse, the signature emblem of the line, exemplifies this fusion and was honoured with the prestigious Inhorgenta Award in 2011.
