The jewelry brand AMALA was founded in 2005 by Sophia Kirsch-Wahl. Under this name, the designer and trained goldsmith creates jewelry pieces in precious metals such as gold and silver, combined with fine gemstones, softly shimmering pearls and experimental materials. The defining feature of her work is its modern timelessness, which – in a playful and often humorous way – always pays homage to traditional craftsmanship and heritage.

In addition to numerous publications in professional and lifestyle magazines such as Elle, Schmuckmagazin, Brigitte, Hochzeit and InStyle, as well as on fashion blogs, two jewelry pieces from this line – the classic Heart Ring and the legendary Ram Ring – are part of the collection of one of Germany’s most renowned museums of decorative arts, located in the traditional gold- and silversmithing city of Schwäbisch Gmünd.
